Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms cover the website uzbekcha.app and its waitlist, and the Uzbekcha app for iPhone (“the app”), operated by UzVIP (“we”, “us”), Tashkent, Uzbekistan. By using the website or the app you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation on either side. It is a request to be told when Uzbekcha launches. It is not a purchase, a pre-order, or a guarantee of access, pricing, features, or a launch date. Any “founding-member” or launch offer we announce will have its own conditions at the time.
The free phrasebook and blog
The phrasebook, blog and other learning content on this site are provided for personal, non-commercial use. We work hard to keep the Uzbek accurate, but language content is offered “as is” without a warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, or official translations.
The Uzbekcha app
For adults. The app is for people aged 18 or over. When you first open it, you confirm that you are.
Your account. The app creates an account for you the first time you open it, identified by a random key stored on your phone. You can sign in with Apple or Google so that your progress is kept when you change or reset your phone; signing in is optional. If you do not sign in and you delete the app or lose your phone, we cannot recover your progress.
Your licence. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own learning, on devices you own or control, under these terms. The lessons the app writes for you are for your personal use.
Subscriptions
- Plans. Most of the app needs a subscription. Uzbekcha offers auto-renewing subscriptions with a monthly and a yearly plan. The app shows the price and the length of each plan before you buy.
- Billing. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. We never see your card or bank details.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period, at the same price, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or Apple’s rules require it, asks for your agreement.
- Free trial. If a plan comes with a free trial, the subscription starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings (on iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions), or in the app under Settings > Subscription > Manage subscription. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app, or deleting your account in the app, does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through Apple under Apple’s refund policy. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. You can ask Apple for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restoring. On a new phone signed in to the same Apple ID, tap “Restore purchases” in the app to get your subscription back.
Content made with AI
Uzbekcha is built around artificial intelligence. The learning content on this site is written with the help of AI and checked by us. The app uses AI to write lessons, explanations, translations and pronunciation guides for each learner, to play the other person in conversation practice, and to check what you said when you practise speaking. AI can make mistakes: a word, an ending, a translation or a cultural note may be wrong, even when it sounds confident, and a speaking check can mark a correct answer as wrong or the other way round. Treat it as a learning aid, not an authority. Check anything important with a native speaker, and never rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial or official purposes. If you spot a mistake, report it in the app or tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it.
Intellectual property
The Uzbekcha name, mark, design and content on this site and in the app belong to UzVIP unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not copy the site, the app, their content or their design wholesale, republish the phrasebook, blog posts or lessons, or use them to train a commercial language model, without written permission.
Acceptable use
Do not try to disrupt the site or the app, probe or abuse the waitlist endpoint or our server, submit other people’s email addresses, scrape the site at a rate that affects other visitors, copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the app, get around its subscription checks, or use conversation practice to produce unlawful or abusive content. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Apple
These terms are between you and UzVIP, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. You may use the app only on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service. We, not Apple, are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app; Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection and privacy claims, and claims that the app or your use of it infringes someone else’s intellectual property. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or the app, or reliance on their content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you additional protections, those protections still apply.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. If a change materially affects the app or your subscription, the app will tell you before it applies. Questions: [email protected].
